Storage Information & Policies

If you are looking for self storage in Newport, we aim to make the process simple, secure and flexible. The information below explains how our storage units at Pave Lane Storage work and what customers should know before storing with us.


Payments
Storage fees are payable in advance. If a payment fails, we will contact you and retry the payment. Late payments may incur a small administration fee.
Payments for storage are securely processed using GoCardless. By providing your payment details, you authorise us to take automatic payments.
You will receive email notifications before and after each payment is taken. Invoices are available on request.


Access Hours
Our storage facility near Newport is open:
7:00am – 6:00pm, seven days a week.
These access hours allow customers to conveniently visit their storage containers while helping us maintain a safe and secure site.


Security
Customers are responsible for ensuring their storage unit is securely locked. You should use a suitable padlock to secure your container.
For those units with keys, if you lose your key, we can arrange access to the unit, subject to a small charge.


Insurance
We offer an optional protection service called StoreReady which can provide cover for your goods while they are stored at our facility.
If you choose StoreReady, you simply declare the total replacement value of the items you are storing and pay a small additional monthly charge. This allows us to accept responsibility for loss or damage to your goods in certain circumstances, up to the value you declare.
The protection can cover events such as fire, flood, theft with forced entry, storm damage and certain other unexpected incidents while your goods are stored at the facility. 


Condition of Stored Items
Items stored in containers may be affected by environmental factors such as condensation, mould or rust.


We recommend:

  • Checking your storage unit regularly

  • Packing items appropriately

  • Avoiding storing damp or sensitive materials without protection

Prohibited Items:

  • For safety reasons, the following items must not be stored in our storage containers:

  • Hazardous or flammable materials

  • Illegal or stolen goods

  • Perishable food

  • Environmentally harmful substances

  • Items that emit strong fumes or odours (for example petrol lawnmowers)


Access Restrictions
If storage fees remain unpaid, we may temporarily suspend access to the storage unit until the account is brought up to date.


Ending Your Storage
Our storage agreements are flexible. You can end your storage at any time by giving one weeks’ notice.


Terms and Conditions
Full licence agreement terms and conditions are provided on the contract you will be sent for e-signature.


Competitive Pricing
